HISTORY There are many graduates of both the University of Islam and Clara Muhammad Schools, who would like to ensure this tradition of whole and quality education. The steps to insure these traditions and to build more are in the form of volunteerism and mentoring for CM Schools and providing grants for current CMS students and surrounding community schools. The National Alumni Association is a non-profit organization. The grass root effort was spear headed by Dorcas Morrow-Green of Los Angeles, California (a graduate of MUI and CMS) in the early 1980’s. In 1990 the National Alumni Association of MUI and CMS was incorporated by P. Al-Uqdah, (a graduate of MUI and CMS), and Tomi Moore, (alumnus of CMS). The National Alumni Association includes Muhammad University of Islam from the 1940’s until 1975 when the school name was change to Sister Clara Mohammed Nursery/Elementary and Secondary School and all those after. The National Alumni Association uses the acronyms SCMS or CMS & MUI or MUOI & NAA. The Clara Muhammad School System uses the acronyms CMS & SCMS. The Muhammad University of Islam acronyms are MUI and MUOI. The National Alumni
